Dear Wendy, Jed and Adriana
 
We wanted to say thank you so much for organising a fantastic break for us last week at Zoe's apartment.  Everything from being met at the ferry by a taxi, when we were tired and strung out from travel, to your advice on buses and Rhodes logistics made us feel very well looked after.  Symi is such a friendly, welcoming island - everywhere we went people stopped to help and talk, and we even had a visit from Zoe, who brought us some of her fabulous cookies. Rhodes, and then London, were huge culture shocks and we were so tempted to leap back onto the ferry to Symi. 
We hope to come back soon: in the meantime, best wishes for the summer season.

Dear Wendy,
 
Just a quick note to tell you we got back safely to Belgium.  We met some other Symi visitors at Rhodes airport who told us the ferries ran on Saturday after all!  We had a wonderful stay in Symi and would have loved an extra day if the weather had been good, but I think we would have been anxious had we stayed on.  As it was the day in Rhodes gave us a chance to have a good walk around the old town and then to take a bus down to Lindos to see the acropolis.
 
As I said we had a wonderful time on Symi - and largely thanks to you and your team.  You provide a wonderful service.  We loved our little cottage up in the "village" and enjoyed being up there.  The kids say it was their best holiday ever.

Dear Symi Visitor team,
 
We just wanted to say thank you for all your help on the run up to our holiday which was quite disrupted due to the air traffic controllers strike and also on our return journey.Despite this and a bit of unusual bad weather it all came together and we had a great time as usual and Villa Iris is a lovely house to stay in, we would reccommend it as the view is amazing too,we are now saving to come back again soon.
Special thanks to Ian who rescued us when we thought we would not catch our ferry but did, especially for coming out to help us after settling in for the evening with a bottle of Retsina!! and to Adriana for her many helpful emails sorry we didn't get to see you this time and hope you did manage to get the UK in the end.

Subject: A huge thank you from Kate & Alistair to all at the Symi Visitor

Dear Wendy, Adriana, Sue, Ian & Kleanthi
 
Apologies for taking so long to write this thank you for making our wedding on Symi so memorable and special; when we returned from our month there we were straight back into London mode and work took over again. Although each year we spend time on Symi we felt we gained many new friends through the wedding preparations, and we are so grateful to all at the Symi Visitor for your patience & understanding with my myriad of questions, and your fabulous organisational skills with my obsessive attention to detail.

You made it all come together seamlessly and some of my favorite photos are the 'behind the scenes' shots - Despoina proudly displaying her balloon arch on the boat, the restaurant almost decorated and waiting for us to arrive and a photo of the wedding party walking through the harbour with Wendy in the background literally running from one location to the next. We felt like royalty on the day itself and had such a fabulous time and will remember it forever. As I look out the window it's bucketing down here and we can't wait to be back on Symi to re-live it all again!

Subject: Thanks for holiday (9-15 June)

Having been back from Symi for some ten days it has given me time to reflect on a faultless holiday. So much can go wrong with aeroplanes, ferries, people (!) and accommodation. In my case and for the second year visiting Greece all has gone perfectly. My thanks to you all in the office, to the indefatigable Yiannis - where does he get the energy? - and especially to Ian whose warmth from the pier onwards made big impression. His tour of Horio was indeed a tour de force. All the recommendations made to me about food worked for me. Finally pass on my thanks to Astrid for her suggestions and for her introductions to many others.

Just a note to say how much we enjoyed our holiday at Villa Karnayo and the couple of extra days in the apartment in Pedi.  Both were lovely accommodation, superbly located and well equipped. 

Many thanks for all your help with the arrangements and for your helpful and welcoming service - thanks to Dom too for carrying our bags up those steps in the heat of the day.  We loved our holiday on Symi, it is such a beautiful island and we will definitely be back.

We have been visiting Symi now for over 15 years & have always enjoyed our holiday,but our visit this time was made extra special by the wonderful accommodation & friendly staff at Iapetos Village,it could not be faulted in any way.
 
We are sorry not to have got chance to say goodbye before we left,but as usual we were making the most of our last morning on Symi & nearly missed the ferry!

Back to Norway!
We had a good and relaxing week on Symi. The house was great, with a perfect location. The relaxing hour on the balcony with a beer after a day on the beach was great. I will recommend both the island and Symi Visitor Accommodation to all my friends.
 
When we arrived in Rhodes early Sunday morning, we went to Plaza Hotel as Wendy recommended to store our luggage there before we went on to the airport. We told them that this was a recommendation from you, which they really appreciated. We had a good breakfast there before we had some hours in the old town of Rhodes.

I just wanted to thank you for all your help during my stay at Lover's Corner. I loved the room and especially the terrace. It was my first holiday on my own and it was really the perfect place to stay, thanks for recommending it.

Thank Wendy for all her info and help and special thanks to Nicholas for sorting out all my electrical problems so promptly! You were all great.

I left some wine for everyone with Nikolas from the Supermarket, I hope you got it and have a nice drink on me once it's chilled :-)

After a long long day in Rhodes Town, I got home at 3.30 in the morning so still recovering and trying to get used to the noise of London again!

Dear Wendy and Adriana

Our journey back was fine and we are now at home surrounded by piles of washing!  I really can't thank you enough for all the hard work and organisation you all put in both on the day and in the months before to help us get the best wedding day I could have imagined. It was wonderful; in fact the whole week was brilliant. Sophia's house was the perfect base for us. Everyone else in our party who booked their accommodation through you was really pleased as well, so I think you have done a brilliant job all round.

Best of luck with any other weddings you are organising on Symi this summer. I hope they go as  smoothly as ours did. And I hope you all get a chance to relax and have a break, too!

"Symi is geared up towards self-catering holidaymakers wanting to stay a minimum of one week. There are plenty of beautiful properties to choose through Symi Visitor. This type of accommodation can be expensive (starting at 45 euro per night out of season) and if you are planning to stay less than a week, Symi Visitor may only be able to book you into the Hotel Fiona.

The hotel is a small family affair with maybe a dozen rooms. The hotel's namesake works reception, Michalis is often heard playing the piano and their daughter shuffles about serving breakfast.

Our room was simple but cozy and clean with blue shutters that opened out onto a small balcony and STUPENDOUS views.

We never tired of sitting at all hours soaking up the atmosphere from our perch, day.... or night!

It was in a traffic-free part of the old town, but a taxi can pull up fairly close and the bus stop isn't much further along."

Dear Symi Visitor team,
 
I have just realised that it is now almost Christmas and I still haven't written to thank you all so much for making our visit to Symi in September such a marvellous time.
 
We are probably just part of the blur of visitors you help every year but we did truly appreciate the trouble Adriana took to help us book into the Hotel Fiona, and the way Wendy organised the lift up there and back down again with all our luggage on arrival and departure. It turned rather a daunting trip into a real pleasure and we were so grateful.
 
We are now starting to plan another Symi break and looking at all your accommodation suggestions on the Symi visitor website.
 
A very happy Christmas holiday to you all and we hope to see you next year,

We just wanted to say a big thank you to all of you for your help and advice on our recent visit to Symi.
You found us Anna's Little House to stay in with only a week's notice which was impressive as we thought we wouldn't make it after our holiday was cancelled by Kosmar, we really enjoyed staying there and discovering the island by lots of walks and our calf muscles have now just about recovered nicely!!!!
We look forward to visiting beautiful Symi again sometime in the future,
