This airy family house is at the top of Kouloundri, a semi-rural neighbourhood at the back of Symi’s historic harbour and has panoramic views of Yialos, the Kastro, the Kataraktis and the Vigla.

One of a pair of semi detached Neo Classical houses, the villa has been recently restored, retaining the charm of an old Symi farm house but with the conveniences of modern living. Enter from the path into a split level terrace area with simple outside kitchen for those nights when it is too hot to cook indoors. On the lower garden terrace there is a separate granny flat with twin beds, basic cooking facilities and separate wet-room style bathroom. Perfect for teenagers, grandparents or a couple.
The entrance to the main house is into a farmhouse kitchen with full electric cooker and stone work surfaces. The old cistern adjoining the kitchen has been converted into an unusual small double bedroom with a vaulted ceiling, built in sleeping platform and a separate entrance onto the terrace as well as an inter-leading door into the kitchen. This could be considered to be the most private bedroom.
The other door from the salon leads into a small vestibule which can also be accessed from the bedroom and the main bathroom leads off this vestibule. This is also a wet-room style bathroom. There is a private terrace at the back of the house with stone benches which has morning shade.
This property is suitable for a family of 4 to 8 or for up to 3 couples. Air conditioned upstairs. The perfect Greek island escape!
